I met Tony in early 1983 when we were critically seeking our first attorney to join us during the infancy of our relatively newly formed venture. Until then, I remain forever your Sally pally. Someday the 5 of us, including Ollie, will reunite and eat, drink and be merry. Keep my martini on ice for the many “Boys nights out” in the future. Say hello to Jesus for me (and Joe & Billy). Rest in peace and thank you for your tremendous friendship. I miss you so much already and don’t know how I will go forward without you. I told him “I am right” and I look forward to the day I see him again (just not too soon).

He told me recently that “if you are right, I will see you in Heaven and we can spend eternity together”. A rock for me and my family, a steady influence, a most trusted advisor and loving friend. For “Boys night out”, for dozens of vacations in Montauk, for our Italy trips, for Disney and Key West vacations, for our bike rides, for being part of all the big events in our families’ lives especially the weddings (who will ever forget Tony the dancer?) and special birthdays. All the laughs, all the vacations and the dinners. He never let me down.īut more important than the above, I will miss Tony for all the good times we shared. He represented me in business on several occasions. He knew more about me, my family and my business than anyone. I looked to Tony and trusted Tony with all my most important decisions, about life and about business. With there being so many areas where we were so different, it is amazing we were such great friends, best friends. Again, we had very different beliefs and both felt very strongly about our positions but like all things we disagreed on, we respected each other’s views and never argued over them many times teased and laughed about it in a healthy “American” way. I can’t say he was as understanding when it came to politics. However, he totally understood my positions and was very supportive, never argumentative. I guess his training as an attorney, demanded proof or at least a healthy challenge. Tony as we all know was extremely intelligent and well read and therefore, needed more proof. We disagreed on so many things like sports (Yankees vs Mets), religion, not so much that we disagreed as much as faith vs science.

We discussed books and TV shows (GOT), sports, religion and yes politics. We spoke every other day we shared everything – business, sports, family good times and problems.

I have logged in more time with Tony than just about any other human being, aside from Donna. Where do I begin? How do I say goodbye? 35 years of sharing our lives together. I hope we can all say that when our time comes. The world is a much better place for his being here. All of us at the law firm are so saddened by his passing and I think we all recognize the firm will not be the same without him walking the hallways and greeting everybody with a smile. I feel as though an important part of my life has just disappeared. I don't know of a single person who has anything bad to say about him. He was the life of our parties and the person we all wanted to be around. When times were difficult at the firm, he brought smiles and positive attitudes to make us all feel better. He took the time to get to know every employee in the firm and to learn about their likes and dislikes, their daily routines and their special occasions.

While his professional accomplishments are great, I think he will always stand out as a person who was genuinely interested and sincerely cared for all people he met in whatever walks of life. He was respected by all who witnessed his legal prowess and they appreciated his high level of intelligence. Tony was my law partner and friend for 37 years.
